Zu sehen ist eine Schirmmütze für Offiziere des Luftschutzes aus dem Jahr 1962. Die Mütze ist in Khaki-Farbe gefertigt, mit Biesen in Malino-Farbe, und entspricht damit dem für diese Zeit typischen Erscheinungsbild des Luftschutzes.

Charakteristisch für diese Version der Schirmmütze des LS sind der Pappschirm, die drei farbigen Biesen und die Korkade mit DDR-Emblem.

Die Schirmmütze ist von dem Hersteller VEB Roland Mützen Calbe / Saale mit Betriebsteil in Staßfurt (1855) aus dem Jahr 1962, mit dem typischen MdI (Ministerium des Innern, welchem der Luftschutz unterstand), in der Größe 57 gekennzeichnet.
